I don't have a webpage for this yet because it may be something I drop right away.
This game is a Multiplayer RPG that instead of using a pre-drawn character sprite, you draw it yourself. Of course the reason why I did this is pretty clear, I can't draw for crap myself so I'll leave that to the players. The game uses a skin system which reads a series of bitmap(BMP) files and plays them out creating animation. Making your character is fairly simple, just draw a 32x32 pixel character with walking frames, attacking frames, casting frames, and stopped frames. Then put all those bitmaps in one folder and use the skin creator to setup the animation and it'll pack it all into a ZIP file which will be decompressed by the game when you use that character.
It'll be a RPG that'll probably play kinda like a 2D version of PSO(Phantasy Star Online). Essentially it'll be a dungeon crawler game where you can play through dungeons, collect rares, level up, and play through a story line.
Instead of equipment dropping from enemies you'll get equipment upgrades. Your weapon(whatever you draw it to be) will have 4 upgrade slots. You may place upgrade items that increase your stats in your weapon and armor. This is kind of like Final Fantasy 10 where weapons had slots and you could add a "Strength +10%" or a "HP +30%" but instead your weapon always has 4 slots and you find the upgrades instead of using items to make them.
Skills are something I'll need help with. I'll need help with skill ideas as well as drawing what it does like a healing spell may have a holy looking light or something. In addition to a pre-made spells you'll be allowed to create one spell of your own. So you can choose to make an attack ability, elemental ablitity, healing ability, or whatever other abilities the game will have. So if you choose healing you'll be able to choose how good a heal it is at the cost of either MP or HP. So if you make the heal real good it'll cost a ton of MP, and obviously for a heal you don't want it to cost HP, but you can make it cost HP if you want. You'll get to name this ablitiy and you'll be the only one who has it, unless someone copies you.
If anyone appears interested I might prepare a small demo that shows the skin system working but so far that's all I have.
